Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi visits Andasse Macuácua, a woman who survived the armed attack that culminated in the gruesome murder of opposition figure & his lawyer. Election results are due on Thursday amid ongoing deadly protests and insecurity in the country.
Nyusi is stepping down after 2 terms. A ruling party candidate, though who was not Nyusi’s preferred candidate, is expected to win the election. Nyusi had a cordial relationship with Rwanda Government, with over 2,000 troops operating in Cabo Delgado fighting islamist insurgency.
